The Search Engine Series investigates how our engagement with the digital realm is changing our perception of the world and identity through the way we retrieve and store images. These works construct a physical form for something previously intangible and mutable such as the web-based search engine.


Lauren Comito lives and works in Brooklyn. Her work has been exhibited in Brooklyn NY at Slag Gallery, Idiosyncrasy Gallery, Projekt 722, the Rema Hort Mann Foundation, Firepoof East Gallery, Wayfayers Exhibition Space as well as Touch Gallery in Cambridge, MA and Icebox at Crane Arts in Philadelphia, PA. Comito received her BFA from the Tyler School of Art and her MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design.
